CINI is a learning organisation. We’re committed to developing our knowledge and sharing our experiences with others so the marginalised communities we serve get the greatest benefit.
Our pioneering work with women, children and adolescents, and our innovative approaches to solving complex challenges, have been recognised by prestigious national and international organisations and governments.
UNICEF, the World Health Organisation and the Governments and India and Italy, are amongst those that have recognised the achievements of CINI and its founder, Dr Samir Chaudhuri.
The list below includes some of the awards we’ve received since 2000.
2023 – NatHealth Healthcare CSR Award for the “ Community Based Health Solutions ” category.
2019 – Parivartan Inspire Award from Bride World Wide (BWW) in the Women’s and Children’s Welfare category.
2017 – HCL Foundation Award as the best Indian NGO in the field of health.
2015 – Nari Surakha Sanman Award for recognition of CINI’s work in the fields of protection and prevention, and the rights of deprived women and children.
2013 – ABP Ananda Sera Bangali Award to Dr.Samir Chaudhuri in “ Public Life” category .
2013 – SPJIMR Award Harvard USA – India Initiative (HUII) NGOs.
2011 – World Health Organisation Award for excellence in early childhood health care.
2009 – Rotary Award presented in New Delhi in recognition of efforts to combat infant mortality.
2008 – Ellis Island Medal of Honour Global Humanitarian Award NECO, New York, USA. The prize is awarded to personalities who have distinguished themselves for their extraordinary contribution to humanity.
2007 – Children’s Award presented by World of Children, New York, USA.
2005 – Parliamentary Award for Childhood awarded by the Childhood Commission of the Italian Parliament, Rome, Italy.
2005 – National Child Welfare Award from the Government of India, New Delhi, India.
2000 – Recognition of CINI as a Regional Centre for Child and Reproductive Health by the Government of India, New Delhi, India.
